Biography

Catherine Feuille comes to Spivey Consulting Group from the Yale Law School Admissions Office, where she held dual roles as an Assistant Director of Admissions and the Director of the Launchpad Scholars Program, the school’s newest pathway initiative. In this unique position, she engaged with both sides of the admissions process, evaluating J.D. applicants while advising Launchpad Scholars through every stage of their law school admissions journeys.

Experience

As a member of the Yale Law School admissions committee, Catherine helped finalize decisions for thousands of J.D. applications and conducted hundreds of applicant interviews. In her concurrent role as Director of the Launchpad Scholars Program, Catherine steered the program through its first three years, developing and overseeing a wide range of programming to guide participants through the law school admissions process. She also directly advised the 25 members of each cohort by providing individualized feedback on their application materials and strategic guidance throughout the admissions cycle. In a few short years, Launchpad has quickly become one of the most sought-after and successful programs of its kind, with 82% of its first cohort (who are currently 1Ls) attending highly selective law schools

Catherine is a member of the District of Columbia Bar. Before her career in law school admissions, she practiced as a litigator, focusing on health law and First Amendment issues.

Education

Catherine has earned the following degrees:

  • A.B. in Biology modified with Anthropology from Dartmouth College
  • M.P.H. from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health
  • J.D. from Yale Law School.

More About Catherine

In Catherine’s view, the law school application process is not a burden, but rather an opportunity to reflect on one’s experiences and motivations and to clarify why law school is the right next step. Asking the right questions sets applicants up for success, not only in the admissions process but also in law school. Catherine loves helping applicants ask these questions and transform their reflections into a genuine, well-supported, and compelling case for law school.

Catherine is originally from San Francisco but has spent the last 15 years moving up and down the East Coast, including New Hampshire, New York, Connecticut, and Washington, D.C. She has finally settled in D.C. and is enjoying putting down roots. In her free time, Catherine enjoys exploring the city, making homemade tea lattes, and attending an unreasonable number of concerts and music festivals.
