Drawing from her admissions experience at Vanderbilt Law and background as a practicing attorney, Julia Truemper helps applicants thoughtfully navigate each stage of the admissions process.
Julia Truemper comes to Spivey Consulting Group from Vanderbilt Law School, where she served as Associate Director of Admissions, Recruitment and International Student Services. In her role at VLS, Julia gained experience across all stages of the admissions process, including the following:
Julia traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad to recruit students for both the JD and LLM programs. Through her travels, she developed relationships with numerous other admissions professionals and gained insight into the varied processes, philosophies, and preferences of top law school admissions offices throughout the country.
Julia received her undergraduate degree in Spanish from Vanderbilt and her JD from Washington University in St. Louis. She practiced law for 6 years in both the private and public sectors before making the transition to law school admissions.
While Julia greatly enjoyed her time as a practicing attorney, she could not be happier that she made the transition to law school admissions. Her experience as a law student was the single most transformative experience of her life, and her appreciation for the value of a legal education led to her passion for helping prospective students through the admissions process as they consider taking this next step in their professional lives.
Outside of work, Julia enjoys spending time with her husband and twins, Mattie and Will, and their two bernedoodles and two cats at their home in Nashville. She also looks forward to annual trips to California wine country and can often be found on her Peloton or listening to Taylor Swift.
