My friends and family thanked our lucky stars for Sam nearly every day during my admissions cycle because they knew that, without her, I would have been nowhere near as calm or collected a human. Having worked with another (non-Spivey) admissions consultant in the past, I can say that the difference is truly night and day.

Sam is efficient and to the point without ever making the process feel rushed. I finished my personal statement and statement of perspective after only three (!) rounds of minimal edits from Sam, all of which were incredibly effective while preserving my voice entirely. Instead of mining Reddit threads or helplessly Googling every question that crossed my mind, I could simply ask someone who actually knew the answer. At every point in my application, I genuinely felt that there was no one else whose advice I would rather have had.

Sam is phenomenal at her job in a way I didn't know was possible until I worked with her. She has an incredible ability to immediately understand what you're trying to say, identify what matters most, and make an overwhelming process feel manageable. On top of it all, she's a genuinely kind person whom you will actually look forward to speaking with. I came out of this process not only incredibly grateful to have had Sam as my consultant, but also genuinely hoping to stay in touch with her long after my admissions cycle ended. I worked with Joe Pollak and I can confidently say that he made my application the strongest it could be as well as took a lot of the anxiety off certain aspects in my application that I felt shaky about. I definitely was not an easy client to work with, going through dozens of revisions and in some cases starting essays over from scratch, but Joe was so attentive and understanding to how I wanted to frame myself within my application. Thanks to our work together, I am happy to say I had gotten into my dream school with a significant scholarship, something I didn’t even think possible when I began thinking about going to law school.

Kevin was incredibly supportive and helpful at every stage of the process. Danielle was a huge help. I worked with her for the entire cycle. At the beginning, she laid out the entire application process, giving me date targets for different components of my application. She also explained the weaknesses in my CV and suggested actionable steps for remedying them. Later, she gave expeditious, helpful feedback for my written supplements and my personal statement. Furthermore, she was always clear when communicating with me.

I applied to a wide variety of law schools, nearly blanketing the T14, with a GPA of 3.79 and an LSAT of 167. While I can't say my own tenacity did not play in my success so far, Michael provided me with more insight than I could have ever found on my own on how to succeed in such a competitive cycle. I truly feel Michael was instrumental to knowing how I could be the most strategic in leveraging who I really am outside of my statistics to law schools. With his help, I was already accepted to several of my dream schools --- such as NYU, Northwestern, UCLA, and Vanderbilt --- and completed interviews with others --- UChicago, Yale, and Harvard --- before even the new year. Ultimately, I was accepted to Harvard in January, and I accepted my offer of admission to join the J.D. class of 2029.As a final note, I want to say thank you to Spivey as a whole. As a first-generation student, I came into this cycle with so much self-doubt and anxiety. In particular, the contentiousness around DEI and affirmative action made me feel as if my stats were not only inadequate but that my application materials would never be enough to make up for being below the newly raised 25th and 50th percentiles. Opportunities like the Spivey Pro Bono Program and consultants like Michael are truly the difference between breaking generational curses for someone like me. So my most sincere thanks goes out to you, Michael, and the rest of Spivey for the work you all have done.

Working with Kevin made my cycle dramatically easier, not only in navigating the process itself but mentally as well. He was professional, kind, and super responsive to editing requests, school-selection advice, and making sure I felt comfortable with what I was submitting.
