“I was totally lost”

Hey Mike- I hope all is well.

I don’t expect you to remember me aside from my story... but I wanted you to know my life ended up better than I could’ve imagined and I’m happier than ever.

I’m now a licensed attorney, I was on law review at one of the very most selective law schools, and summered at a BigLaw firm. I ended up getting into finance and now work as director of firm development for a cutting edge consulting firm.

I’ve done lots of positive things for my community, and my highschool alma mater asked me to be the commencement speaker this year. With the COVID pandemic, it will be punted to later this year or next, but that is just one example of how much positivity has come my way and how many opportunities I’ve had to redefine myself after you helped me matriculate into law school.

I wouldn’t be here without you. I firmly believe that your guidance, at a time where I was totally lost, saved my career.

Please let me know where I can write an updated testimonial, if appropriate. My mom and I still talk about “that Spivey guy who told me to reach out to the president of my school because nothing could stop me from getting my degree. What would’ve happened without Spivey?” Luckily for me, I’ll never have to know.

Humbly, gratefully, enthusiastically,
