Law School Application Opening Dates 2026

If you’re planning to apply for the 2026-2027 law school application cycle for Fall 2027 enrollment, you may be wondering when you’ll be able to go into LSAC and see the actual applications you’ll need to fill out. The applications for this upcoming cycle aren’t available online yet, but they will be soon! See below for the dates.

Important: There is functionally no difference at all between submitting your application on the day that it opens vs. submitting it, say, a month later. In general, submitting your application by the end of October gives you the largest potential strategic boost, by the end of November is still considered “early,” and by the end of the year is considered “on time.” Overall, it’s nearly always a better idea to apply with a stronger application later than a weaker application earlier, so don’t rush to submit your application in September if it could meaningfully benefit from waiting until October or November.
