Spivey Consulting Welcomes Rob Cacace and the Pre-L Program!Spivey Consulting Group

Rob Cacace, currently Assistant Director in Georgetown Law’s Office of Career Services, is joining Spivey Consulting.

At Georgetown, Rob oversees professional and skills training by helping to design and deliver programs, in addition to serving as a career counselor for hundreds of law students. Prior to GULC, Rob received his B.A. and J.D. from Harvard University and Harvard Law School respectively. He has a Masters in Modern History from Oxford University and has served as a federal district court clerk in DC and litigator at a plaintiff-side firm. Additionally, Rob was a Summer Honors intern at the Department of Justice and a Summer Associate at Paul, Weiss in New York City.

“Rob will be an integral part of The Spivey Consulting Group team as we continue to expand our services for prospective law students. Last year we internally tested Pre-L, a pre-law program, for a small number of admissions clients, and our feedback was categorically enthusiastic on the value it provided,” said Mike Spivey, Founder and Partner of Spivey Consulting. “This cycle we will be offering the service to a larger number of clients and, along with Jennifer Winslow, Rob will be leading 0Ls through a curriculum that on focuses on the key skills of legal writing that are universal – writing clearly, concisely, and with precision – as well as case reading and briefing. The Pre-L program also offers an optional component focused on career planning.”

“We wanted to bring on someone who has immediate proximity to best practices in designing programs for law students, and with Rob we think we have hit a home-run” Spivey concluded.

*Spivey Consulting is in the process of a website redesign and, once finished, complete information on the Pre-L program will be available on a dedicated page. We will start accepting Pre-L clients in January, 2015 and will cap the total number between 15-20. *
